hi john, my wife and i are so glad to hear Glass Harp is coming home to youngstown in jan. we have been fans since the early days(the squires, new hudson exit,volumn4 the poppy,& of course Glass Harp).we are trying to set aside some money from each ssi pmt. to be able to go see "the boys"@powers this jan.(my wife is battling lung cancer & i've had heart problems that lead to open heart surgery and this year i contracted an infectious blood disease due to a contaminated pacemaker and ended up in the Cleve. Clinic.) the high cost of medications makes it a bit tough, but we're hoping to get enough money to get to the show. hope to see the band again! God Bless&thanks for the great music.

Hi John,

I attend Zarephath Christian Church in NJ and was thrilled to see Phil Keaggy perform for my first time. I am plugged in with my noise cancellation phones listening to "Infinity Unleashed." Great work. I am always so delighted when I stumble upon new and vital music which soothes our souls. Thanks!!

John

Admin reply: Thanks John. That was good to hear. Thanks for taking the time to sign my guest book.! Glad you enjoyed Phil and the band in NJ.

Hi John!
Not sure why it took me so long to check your web site. Now that I am recovering from my heart, and pneumonia, I am taking the time to smell the roses as it were. Your sweet and powerful groove is a part of this.

Looking forward to checking out the various tunes you have here. You know I am a huge fan. Would love to pick your brain about your early songs that you wrote, like "Black Horse".
Blessings, Always,
Gary

Admin reply: Hey Gary, be well my friend God Bless.
I'll mail tomorrow .

Hello John!

You may not remember, but you knew my father, Charles Kyer. He told me a long time ago how you guys met when he introduced me to Glass Harp. He was a painter and you happened to be out and about when he was painting a stage for you (don't remember where, or who you were playing with). This was in the early '90s.

He still has the copy of Glass Harp's first album you signed for him. He doesn't talk much anymore about the old days, but he was very happy to have met you, and I'm very happy he introduced me to you and your music.

Thank you and have a great day!

Admin reply: I vaguely remember. I'm glad we had a meaningful conversation!

Hi John!
Just wanted to drop you a line and ask you a question.
I am putting together a podcast starting the spring of 2015. I am going to be featuring local music here in Pittsburgh, as well as national acts. This is going to be for the love of sharing music, and not for profit. I would really love to feature a special on Glass Harp and was wondering about permission to use your music. If you could drop me an email, that would be wonderful! Love the music yourself, Dan, and Phil have created and continue to do so!
God Bless,
Steven

To John Sferra...

I just listened to "Flower of Life" several times for the first time. Wow. When I closed my eyes it took me to another planet... some kind of magical place. When the song was over I unfortunately had to open my eyes and everything was too real again. So, I could not wait to listen again.
The drumming and the guitar on this piece are pure ecstasy.

Chris

Admin reply: Thanks Chris!

John, while we've never met, I find it ironic that we are distant cousins and I too was a drummer many many years ago. I played around Cleveland in the early to mid 60's before going into the Army. I still cart around my old Rogers drums that I bought from a guy in Ashtabula
( Big John Maury) waiting for my big comeback. I wish we had known each other sooner. I only heard of you recently through JoAnn Tomillo Hary , also a cousin. I recently listened to a bunch of your stuff (old and new) on You Tube. Love the trio with the Hammond and Guitar (Band Name?). Hope we'll get to meet one of these days. Drop me an email ...Rich Palmieri
